How We Started
Born out of urgency.
Built by students.
Just In Case of Emergency was founded by a group of high school students who recognized a critical gap: most people don't know what to do in an emergency. Working alongside professional paramedics and first responders, we built a nonprofit dedicated to closing that gap — one community at a time.
We are a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Every program we run, every article we publish, and every workshop we host is driven by one belief: preparedness saves lives, and everyone deserves access to it.
Today, JICE operates chapters across the country, hosts in-person and virtual training events, and publishes free emergency education resources for students, families, and businesses alike.
